Strawberries are very healthy during a spring fatigue, scurvy, rheumatism and recovery after a heavy illness because of the high content of vitamin C.
They are rich in sugars (6.5-11%), including: fructose (3.6-3.8%), glucose (1.3-1.6%), sucrose (1.6-2.7%). It is proved that fructose and glucose decompose very fast in the organism and because of this, strawberries do not increase cholesterol levels and even though consumed in large quantities, they do not make you obese.
This makes the fruit beneficial for people who are on diets and for sportsmen who are in a period of getting free of fats.
The organic acids in strawberries: lemon acid, apple acid, salitsil acid and oxalic acid, they improve metabolism in the organism and facilitate digestion.
Strawberries are rich in mineral salts: potassium (130-160mg), phosphorus (20-30mg), calcium (26-30mg). This makes them a nutritious food for all adults.
